How mindset plays a roll in shame & guilt.

Shame is one of the most emotionally damaging emotions we can carry, and when mixed with a fixed mindset it can be downright dangerous. For some people, it shows itself as severe depression but at a deeper level can be seen as some of the most damaging emotional illnesses. So many emotional illnesses are found to be rooted in shame and self-loathing. 

It’s important we become aware of these emotional mindsets and work at actively shifting them. We can choose to grow from the lessons in front of us, instead of becoming resentful of them.

I will admit it! I was an asshole! I mean, I’m not judging myself for it anymore. I learned those “skills” for a reason. And guess what, like most people I didn’t admit it for years, even though…i.knew.it.was.true! My actions were to protect myself, and you’d be justified in assuming that meant I loved myself.…
