Shame is one of the most emotionally damaging emotions we can carry, and when mixed with a fixed mindset it can be downright dangerous. For some people, it shows itself as severe depression but at a deeper level can be seen as some of the most damaging emotional illnesses. So many emotional illnesses are found to be rooted in shame and self-loathing.
